Karaoke was boring utill now

Well day before we had gone to dinner at a place called Maharaja which was pretty decent but last night was the more fun part.

Anindya and Charu came over to our office and Me, Asif and Akshay Joined them for dinner at the forum. Yesterday was Wednesday night. And I used to crib about going to the Forum on wednesday’s since it was Karaoke night.

What that means is that a group of people just get together there and have this karaoke equipment (PC’s, Sound System and a projection system) and used sing all kinds of Hindi and English songs. Now I know it takes a lot to go up on stage and sing at a public karaoke but most of the people singing were off tune, off key or just plain and simple don’t know how to sing as can be expected of a random group of people who try to sing.

Anyways Akshay is one of the best amateur singers I have ever met and he got it into his head to sing there. Well the rest as they say is history. He was complemented as being not only the best singer of the night but also as being one of the best who had ever sang there.

We headed back after dinner and I proceeded to conduct one of my experiments on realigning sleep cycles agiain. I argued that if trying to get up early and trying to go to sleep early had not worked maybe what I needed was a jolt to realign it. So I planned to stay up all night and up all day so that I would sleep early the next day due to exhaustion. Needless to say that was only a plan. I did stay up the whole night though but came home for a bath in the morning and slept.

This sucks…

Break a leg silly

It seems kinda stupid to use this phrase when you are dancing but now it kinda makes perfect sense.

Asif came down with a minor sprained ankle as a result of our exertions at IIM the other night. We went to see a Orthopaedician who promptly cut a bill of 200 Rs and told us that it was just that. A MINOR SPRAINED ANKLE. And also that it would heal in 3-7 days on it’s own.

Anyways went back to office and worked on some stuff before going to Aangan at Kormangla (A must try, Just go down the Raheja Arcade road from Forum) with Karan, Ujjwal and Asif.

Slow Day

The past week has been a blur of activity. I woke up late (after sleeping at 6 a.m) and made yesterday’s blog entry. Just whiled away the day today odered lunch from Kabab corner and went to KFC for dinner.

Nothing much but trying to get some much needed sleep. Left the book I was reading at office yesterday so I can’t even do that.

I guess I’ll just go to sleep. Big Day tommorow……..MONDAY!!!!!

Partyyyy at IIMB

Well I finished all the back log of Blog entries for the past 2 weeks. Finally I can write about the Party at IIMB last night.

well I went to the Ulsoor Durga Puja to get Shanti Jal and then headed to Abhishek’s house for Dinner. He is currently in his first year at IIM Kolkata and his family has moved here from Delhi.
I had found out that there was a IIMB and IIM Kozhikode Sports tournament going on at IIMB and there was gonna be a party Saturday night.
So, after dinner we headed to IIMB. Where we were met by Piyush, Asif, Charu and Mansi (a friend of Charu’s). I also met with a lot of old friends from MIS and NSIT. Anyways we watched the fag end of a Volleyball match in which IIMB beat IIMK to a pulp. After that It was Partyyy time. We danced a lot to Hip-Hop, RnB and Bhangra before we headed back to drop Charu and Mansi.
after that we picked up our vehicles and headed home where we watched movies the whole night…..

Durga Puja In Bangalore

I had gone to the Kormangala Durga Puja on the 21st after we (Asif, Charu and Moi) had dinner at a small place next to Casa Picola. The place serves decent(unlike great as Asif would tell you) rolls. It was basically a washed out version of the smallest puja held in C R Park (Delhi).

Anyways on the 22nd I got a call from Abhishek Pal a old school buddy of mine. We decided to go see the Ulsoor Durga Puja.
I got to MG road at around quarter past 7 and waited in front of Cauvery at the Junction of MG Road and Brigade Road. Soon Pal Appeared and we went and checked out stuff at Planet M while Pal’s brother waited for a couple of friends of his.

We finally headed to the Puja grounds and visited the Protima

But still it was not really happening except some magic show so we decided to push off.

I called up livin and we ended up in Purple Haze listening to some great music and sipping beer.
