New Generation of Hawkers

Door to door salesmen and phone calls at all time are passe. My blog”s listing on google has been rapidly declining and I was wondering why. Well it turns out that my guestbook had become a cess pool of online advertisments since I had allowed anonymous posts on it. the Ad”s ranged from that of Furniture to Condom”s, to ones that were in polish and had pictures of cute kitten”s (I have no clue if that was a personal site or something else). Anyway I have found a way to dissociate my google ratings from these entries and hope it”ll get back to it”s former glory.

Apart from that I just had a small bike accident. Nothing to talk home about but enought to warrant a Tetanus injection. Apart from that the existentialism of day to day life is the horrid rendition of the eternity that is called life.

I”ll write in my travelogue as soon as I get aound to uploading the new pictures from Cauvery Fishing Camp and Nandi Hills. But ciao for now

Carpe Diem

I have, of late, been planning to do a lot of stuff but the regular grind of things has me in its paralytic clutches. But as I said, I have been meaning to do things and have seen many a moment go by on which I could look back and say thats when I should have done that (Sorry for being so vague but online blogs have a way of doing this to people). Anyway so here I am looking back at lost opportunity and making yet another decision to Seize the right moment when it arises. All I can say to you all is wish me luck for it is me who has to do it and nobody else can.

Pride and Prejudice

I decided this weekend to go buy some Books and Movies. For reading I got a lot more Science fiction books which seem to now dominate my bookshelf. But as I browsed through the DVD section at Landmark Forum. I glanced over and on an impulse bought a DVD version of Pride And Prejudice. I must confess that I have not read any classic in recent times. The last I was found reading Black Beauty or Little Women or Tom Sawyer was somewhere in 1996. I somehow had missed out on Pride and Prejudice, maybe it demanded a slightly more mature audience, but mostly because I never got down to it.

Anyway, I have just finished a stretch of 6 hours watching the complete televised version and it was a moving story. I regret having watched Bride and Prejudice which now seems to be a pale spin-off in comparison, but spoiled some of the great moments of this classic for me. I now understand the references made by Meg Ryan in “You”ve got Mail” and “Kate & Leopold” and of course Bridget Jones’s Diary. Anyways It was an exhilarating story and people should go read it if they can”t get a copy of one of the many televised and movie versions of this amazing love story.
